- CAISO-directed test of GRIDfast software features required for tool to solve the Secure Operating Region (SOR) problem in the CAISO Control Area where the SOR axes include system load (L), generation (G), and interchange (I) values, for use in increasing system reliability by identifying and expanding the California Grid SOR under normal and contingency conditions, addressing system contingencies and uncertainties in system parameters including system L, G, and I.
- CAISO provided WECC system models for test problems.
- With CAISO, developed Detailed SOW for building SOR software tool.
- Led to 2008 CEC PIER Transmission R&D Project proposal (with SCE support): Design and Development of a Generic New Nomogram Methodology and Prototype SCIT Nomogram Tool For Varied Applications in CAISO and SCE Transmission Operations and Planning
