GRIDmaster™ software suite makes your smart grid brilliant. GRIDMaster integrates and interprets AMI, OMS, GIS, SCADA or other data in real-time, continuously and persistently, to optimize the full transmission, distribution or combined T&D system for reliability and operational cost. The GRIDmaster suite includes GRIDfast, GRIDview, GRIDresponse, GRIDops and GRIDplan.
GRIDfast
GRIDfast™ is the unique, patented real-time engine powering the GRIDmaster suite using nonlinear optimization technology developed over 10 years. GRIDfast uses metered measurements such as kW, kVAr, voltage and current to calculate highly accurate, time-stamped spot loads at the customer level or distribution or neighborhood transformer level. The software optimizes for Volt/VAR management, fault isolation & service restoration and real-time loss minimization.
GRIDview
GRIDview™ combines static data from GIS and dynamic data from SCADA, MDMS (AMI), and OMS to provide full visibility into the distribution system using detailed calculations. Results demonstrated accurate to within 2%. Information such as asset loading and stress are displayed using web based dashboards and maps. Ideal for predictive maintenance and planning for all components – either unmonitored or monitored – on the distribution system including all lines, feeders, transformers, switches, capacitors and DA equipment.
GRIDresponse
GRIDresponse™ improves the deployment and operation of large and small-scale Distributed Energy Resources (DER) which includes Demand Response (DR), Distributed Generation (DG) and Storage assets. GRIDresponse is targeted towards utilities, curtailment service providers (CSPs) and distributed generation service providers who want to dramatically improve management of new and existing customers on a DER program. GRIDresponse can maximize the value of DER to a utility while minimizing the number of customer DER installations, and/or it can help a utility reduce the impact of DER on customers while still meeting utility needs. It can be leveraged to maximize peak load reduction using new or existing DER resources. There are losses associated with providing power to each load on the distribution system. The associated losses are not equal for all loads on the system. GRIDresponse ranks every load on the system with respect to the amount of loss associated with serving each load. These “Loss Ranks” provide significant insight into the deployment and operation of a DER program.
GRIDplan
GRIDplan™ uses the detailed information collected by GRIDview and provides analytical and optimization tools to the distribution system planner to improve system planning and reliability. GRIDplan provides tools for prioritized system upgrade options, optimal capacitor placement, and optimal switching configuration. For reliability improvements, GRIDplan provides a ranked listing of distribution switching and asset options based on cost and performance criteria.
GRIDops
GRIDops™ will combine static and real-time information to provide accurate and optimal near real-time operational decisions. GRIDops will provide tools for real-time optimization of losses, optimized volt/VAr management, optimized fault isolation and service restoration, optimized load management, and removal of device overloads.
